Dear friends at Kiental, hello Teresa…
I’m one of your shiatsu teachers and also a survivor of metastatic breast cancer.
Re the query about working with lung cancer… Work in the sitting position and make sure they are comfortable. Treatment procedures will vary according to age and prognosis. Email me with specific questions and relevant a details about the patient!!
My articles can be found on the website for Acupuncture Today in the USA where I write a regular column on Asian bodywork Therapy – see <http://Acupuncturetoday.com> and access columnists and look for my name and columns titled Busting Taboos about Breast Cancer part 1 and 2.
Also there are German translations in the Austrian shiatsu-magazine. Just google <http://www.shiatsu-Austria.at/magazin/magazin/_72.htm> to access „Tabus über Brustkrebs brechen“.
Working with cancer patients requires great skill and an individual approach with specific Qi exercises and treatment protocols depending on the case. Feel free to email specific questions to me: Pamelacudot @gmail.com.
Am teaching in Europe until end April and then return to USA. Am giving a cancer workshop at ESI Munich during autumn 2013.
Love and Qi!
Pamela
